our house picnic

mummy and daddy had planned for us to have a BBQ picnic today at carsington water with momma's friends nina (and tillybee), sally, sophie and morag but it started to rain so we couldn't go. instead we all had a picnic in our house ('cept soph couldn't make it as sniper bob got ill). i met morag's new children, courtney lee who is 3 and lucy who is 18 months. they played with me lots.

after dinner, the rain stopped so we went for another walk on the canal. this time i was pushed, not carried. morag and courtney lee and lucy did not come walkies cos they had to go and collect morag's new little boy, lewis, from school. every time momma turned to talk to her friends, she crashed my pram and i woke up. i wish daddy had driven; mummy's are better at carrying!

canal walk to cromford

today momma and daddy took smelmo dog and gandy dog and i for a walk along the canal. we walked (erm, i was carried) from ambergate to cromford which is about 6 miles there and back. it was sooo pretty.

it was really sunny so i had to wear my hat, 'cept it kept falling off and it turned out my mum needed it more than i; 'cos she got really red. doesn't she look silly? get your own hat momma!

when we reached high peak junction, we all stopped for a rest and an ice cream. i was allowed a taste of daddy's strawberry cornetto. i like strawberry cornetto! momma did not share.

on the way back we saw a mummy duck with a whole eight ducklings. they were only a few days old and very cute. they were hiding in the reeds so as you could hardly see and when mother duck said 'quack quack quack', they all came back - not like in that horrid song my mum sings to me!

today momma took me to nina and tilly rebecca's house for the afternoon. i had fun playing with tilly's rattle and tried to include tilly, though she mostly ignored me! i got a bit more of a response when i hit her with the rattle but then mummy called me a 'bully' and took the rattle away! as ever i was able to use my wit and charm to get momma (and tilly) back on side pretty quickly.





you may wonder what momma and nina were getting up to whilst i was sweet talking tilly rebecca (i know i did). well it was something called tiedying and was very messy. everything that was white is now pink, including my grows... but momma says i'm man enough to pull off pink! momma made gifts for evie and lexi and cousin bertha (who is still just a bulge). nina made pink pants!

when nina and mummy had finished dying (though they still here), my daddy came and picked us up and took me and momma to stay at nanna sue's. i love staying with nanna sue; she sings to me (she forgets the words) and shakes me up and down (though mummy thinks this may qualify as child abuse).

i think today was a good day.

another girlfriend!

last week, another of my momma's friends, amy had a baby. she's called evelyn jane or 'evie' and she's very beautiful. i think my momma now wants evie and i to be special friends. but what about tilly rebecca? evie is lots younger and smaller than me (being a big boy; a whole 17lb4), but our mummys say this won't matter when we're older.

on safari

today, my momma and her frinds took me on safari. it was a big long way and i was sicky in the car but when we got there i saw lots of animals. once on safari, i did not have to stay in my car seat, so i sat on jenny's knee in the front. i was a little worried by some of the animals; especially when they stuck their heads in the car.

when it was time to get out of the car, to visit the bats and snakes and stuff, lydia carried me in the wrap. i liked travelling on someone different 'til she dropped mayonaise on me and dressed me in a silly hat. momma says it's all in a day's work for a baby.

new girlfriend

today my momma's friend nina came to visit with her new baby, tilly rebecca. i think my mummy and tilly's mummy hope tilly and i will be great friends. i hope she likes ginger boys! tilly is ever so clever though; she tells her mum when she needs a poo so she can catch it in a bucket. tilly is always hungry too. tilly's mummy is a bf, a bw, a ec, a cs... i think my mummy's just a momma.
